Golnaz studied Fine Arts at Parsons School of Design in Paris (2001-2004). She participated in a Charity Design Sale for Burns Violence Victims in Nepal (Manchester Square, London, 2013) by contributing fifteen paintings, which were part of the series ‘Portraits of Hyde Park’. Using trees as a source of inspiration for her compositions in colour is an ongoing project. Trees grow into her circular space and branch out in endless directions.

Golnaz enjoys creative problem solving as an illustrator. She was recently commissioned by the London based luxury fashion brand Safyiaa to do a number of theme specific illustrations for newsletters, social media and invitation cards.

She has also written and illustrated, Family Clacklack, a children story book about a cockroach family. The cockroach characters are very much derived from Persian stories she grew up with and in particular “Khale Soske” (aunt cockroach) who always comes for a visit. It also reflects on migrating, settling and in time conquering the land as did Iranians for centuries. She greatly enjoyed inventing the characters living inside and around the Tree on top of Apple Hill.

Some of Golnaz's Fashion iPad Illustrations are on display at our gallery.
