About Peter Dalla Costa

Peter Dalla Costa

Peter has the remarkable skill of capturing moods and idyllic scenery from his birthplace of Trinidad. This he has done like no other, not just through scenery portrayal, but giving your mind enough impressionistic space to interact with his masterpieces. The result is an amazing collection of works on canvas which is transportable to any environment yet still providing this unique Caribbean experience.

Peter Dalla Costa was born 1948, Pointe-a-Pierre, Trinidad, West Indies and was sent to school in England at the age of 15, not returning home until the age of 21. He then began taking photographs and making drawings and work about Trinidad. He studied painting, printmaking and graphic design at art college in the UK. Upon completion he then embarked on a career in textile design, creating designs and collections for leading soft furnishings companies and fashion houses in the UK, Europe and the U.S.A.

He currently lives and paints in London, frequently visiting Trinidad for inspiration and remarkable content.
