Description
A friend of the Holder family, the woman in this portrait performed with his dance troupe in the 1960s and throughout the years, was also one of Boscoe’s favourite models. Holder painted from life as he spoke to those he captured in his paintings with the goal not to obtain some sort of photo of the moment but to capture the real essence of the person in front of him.
